Blogging Tip of the Day: Vol. 2

Blogging Tip of the Day: Do you use a blogging service that has a dashboard? Where my blogs are all on Blogger, I have a dashboard which keeps all of my blogs in one place. I can look at the order and see which blogs I haven't paid enough attention to, and mentally put them on my "to do" list, so that my content doesn't get to old, but there are also other benefits to this.

Some of my posts in the various blogs that I write for don't always get the exposure I would like them to have. Simply opening up the list of posted content, I can then look down the list to quickly see which posts were more popular or less popular, and either tailor my content to what brings in readers, or re-post things that I feel might have just been released at the wrong time of the day. In most cases when I re-post one of my blogs to G+ there usually seems to be more enthusiasm for them at a later time. This is a big advantage to owning your content and creating your brand.

The really good bloggers that I have watched over the years always seem to stay in the feed throughout the day, so the concept of re-posting content helps here too. As much as I like to think I can write all day, and be interesting at all times, that would just be a fantasy. By re-posting things that I want to get more attention, I can stay on that "every two hours" time line that I have set up for myself, while at the same time not becoming a babbler, that just posts so fast and furious that people get sick of them. That post you thought was great and didn't get much interest might still be the gold that you wanted to spread, you just need to give it another push once in a while.
