Blogging Tip of the Day: Vol. 39

Today's Tip: Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. Remember this if you decide that your calling is to take on hot stove issues. There are two separate yet overused expressions both of which are to demonstrate that this isn't just something that I would say, but one of those everyone says issues. If you jump in too lightly thinking that your opinion is great, but forget that you are touching a hot stove then you will probably get what you deserve.

Now of course I say a lot of unpopular things and I appear to come out of it relatively unscathed, so you may think that I am blowing it out my rear, but I have been at this a while. Most professional trolls who dedicate their lives online to getting even with people who don't agree with what they happen to believe either gave up on me, or haven't learned that I am infuriating when messed with. Don't immediately assume that you have that in you. You may, and you may not, but some things just aren't worth talking about publicly. It's up to you to decide what those things are, but you may want to watch what happens to others who talk about the "hot stove" items before you do. Then either see how well or how poorly they deal with trolls.

My method works great but you have to be able to do it. I simply treat a troll like their opinion matters to me and then I kill them with condescension until they fall into shrill name calling. Then I laugh along with everyone else about what an idiot they look like. Some people think they can do this but what often happens is they accidentally start defending themselves and get hurt feelings with someone who really doesn't exist. It's like getting into an argument and having hurt feelings from it with Bugs Bunny or Porky Pig, guess who comes off the fool then? The best part about my method, is I just continue to + all of their comments (which adds to the amount of +1s on my blog) and that drives them even more insane.

You have been warned though. Dealing with trolls is no fun, so you may want to just stay away from feeding them until you know how to cage them first.
