Blogging Reviews: Vol. 02

Today's Review: This is more of an observation than a review or a tip, so I am just throwing it out there. To move or not to move. Interesting question huh? This is something I have pondered quite often, and lately it has been an interesting procedure to watch. This weekend I watched 3 blogs that I follow move over to WordPress, which meant if I were to follow them further I would have to go to their new address and have to click the link to follow them on WordPress, and then get the e-mail updates and other things that WordPress does instead of Blogger. I didn't, so I would assume that this makes me a rat ass bastard, but really what it makes me is a little lazy. Like I usually find out in actual reality is that as weird as I try to pretend I am, I am actually pretty normal, so I probably wasn't the only one. Most of the time when I see the "Big Announcement" of the "Big Move" all I can see is "Fire Sale" and maybe it's because I have issues.

This is the eternal question, that I still look at, does it actually do you any good to move your blog to a different social platform? Everyone has an opinion on this, and mine as I demonstrated above comes down to laziness. I actually have several blogs on Blogger, because I get it, and I have devised a system that works for me. A lot of the people who I have seen move over the last six months or so, do end up having a much nicer looking site when they move, but that has a lot more to do with what little they did on the old one, than what they did to the new one. Again your blog is what you make of it, and I am not giving advice here I am just sharing observations. If anyone has positive or negative observations of the "big move" please share them so the rest of us can learn from them.
