Blogging Tip of the Day: Vol. 89

Today's Tip: If you have nothing good to say then say something good anyway. Somewhere in the muck and mire of everyday life there is a rut that you can get stuck in, as soon as you figure out that there is an audience for misery. It's like the tip about trying not to have a drama blog, but in this case it is a little more than that. Angry blogs are nice once in a while because it shows the human side of the person blogging, but like anything else, don't let it go to your head. Just because there is a certain amount of readability to something that makes you angry doesn't mean it should be the new shtick. If you don't believe me then take a look at the life of Howard Cosell.

What is Jeremy getting at now? Well when it comes to Football there are very few people that had such a huge career as Howard Cosell really, but when he said something innocuous that could be spun the right way, the world turned on him and threw him away. Why was this you may ask? Because he was an angry angry man, and the world wanted a reason to get rid of him. Once they found it, they threw him away and the man died alone in a hospital, where his own family wouldn't even visit him. These are the types of things I think about when I do anything in this world, because in the end, there will be an end. How that ending happens is up to you, but I definitely suggest that you want to be remembered for more than being angry. Besides, we ain't Howard Cosell so the chances of even getting THAT far being an angry person are pretty slim.
