Blogging Tip of the Day: Vol. 114

Today's Tip: Do you ever take heed of how easy your content is to share? I would be a total afterthought in the blogging world if I hadn't figured out the ability to make my blogs, videos, images etc easy to share, and I still see people struggling with this. There are a few things that you need to keep in mind when you post your blogs to any form of social media with the intention of having it shared ..

1. Will it offend a lot of people? Most of the blogs that manage to use the F word as a noun, a verb and an adjective all in the same sentence rarely get shared and when they do get shared they are being shared by people who probably use the F word as a noun, a verb and an adjective in almost all of their sentences. You can imagine the people who read what they share if anyone actually does.

2. Is it visually unappealing? I've mentioned this enough by now, but if you add poor quality images to your posts and the posts look like garbage you'll have a hard enough time getting readers, much less people to share.

3. Does the social media you share your posts to make it easy to share them third source? Most social media has a "share" feature now, but just make sure that it is being used, or give up on trying too hard on that social media. You become more of an asset than a partner that way. Also make sure that you have a multi-faceted way for people to share right on your blog.

4. Do you share other people's posts? Some people share, others don't, but those that don't share, comment etc, are a lot harder to feel good about sharing posts from. We all know this even if some won't admit it.
